About

My vision is to provide meaningful, in depth, professional training in psychotherapy using a flexible relational model.

I started my business to offer advanced practice professional development because I believe that graduate school training is a preparation for becoming a clinician but doesn’t actually train us to become therapists.

I decided long ago to make a financial investment in my own professional development to help me grow my skills as a therapist. I purchased long-term, in-depth, (not one hour or mini training) advanced training in working with children and families, the neurobiology of trauma, relationship-based practice, attachment and how we learn to relate to each other and understand the world around us, reflective practice and supervision, all in order to learn how to BE an effective therapist.

Consultation and training with me are designed for practitioners who are eager to learn the principles and practice of psychotherapy to enhance their clinical skills, and deepen their work.  I strive to create a learning experience designed to equip professionals with the latest thinking on models of care and to support a deep and broad understanding of relationship-based therapies.  Participants may be guided to additional readings on child development and relational approaches to psychotherapy to support our thinking together as a theoretical beginning

Training and consultation may cover important aspects of psychotherapy from the first phone call through termination. We will address assessment, case formulation, the therapeutic relationship, and technique, interventions, which ones, when, why, and how to think conceptually.   The consultation to treatment approach is comprehensive and pragmatic.

My business model is dedicated to advancing your professional capacity to connect with and be useful to other  human beings – to start to understand their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors – and to help them to improve their lives

I humbly honor the diversity of racial and cultural identity and background, nationality, sexual and affectional orientation, gender identity and its expression, while I  strive to hold and honor historical and current oppressions, traumas, and the stories and wisdom of our ancestors.
